That should work.

It's not as funny as it would appear to be. It only takes him a couple seconds to realize.

Thank you. bw!

Ben Long from Lynda.com said he knows photographers that throw away their lens caps for that reason. They figure the lenses are protected enough in their camera bags/cases, etc.

Oh, no. Did I just open another "protect lens/filter/cap" can of worms ???

Not just you Cannucks, us Yanks too. Verbiage from the web site is sufficient...

"Olympic Photographer Forgets To Remove Lens Cap, Can’t Figure Out Why He Can’t Take Pictures
"A moment of levity yesterday, as one sad-sack photographer struggled to work out why he couldn't get some good closeups of eventual all-around gold medalist Kohei Uchimura. After 10 solid seconds of checking his camera, a revelation: the lens cap was still on. We've all been there, guy."

10 seconds to figure out he has his lens cap on?!?! The invention of the instant return reflex mirror about 60 years ago made that instantly obvious to any duffus with a 35mm SLR. The 'copyright' blockage of the video was probably really "blockage to prevent the terminally stupid from being publicly embarrased"
