Playing around with post processing. Any feedback on any aspect is appreciated.

The last 2. I had to compress them to get them to upload so please excuse the noise.

My favourite pics are 4 and 5.

Looks to me like you went a little overboard with the PP on most of them,

1 Has strong halos around the rocks and to a lesser extend the poles

2 Looks good to me, maybe the trees created a bit of a busy and distracting background.

3. Nice shot, I like skylines. However the foreground has to much clutter in it to my taste. Also seems like you have some 'hot' pixels in there.

4. Beautiful sky, but strong halo around the tree

5.Nice sky again, did you HDR this one or just lighten the shadows?

6. The right lower corner shows some exposure movement. Also here it is not clear to me what you are trying to focus on. The rope is very distracting and overal its quite soft on several spots.

Finally, maybe posting just 2 at a time is a bit easier for people to comment on rather then 6.

Keep practicing on your PP and don't go overboard with it.

Get a great photo first, then if you have to edit, do so simply. The first looks to be a nicely done photo, but the processing didn't help it. Post the original, and I bet it didn't need alot of work?

You are really pumping the contrast here. I would do what you feel is right at first pass, then back off just a bit. You are completely crushing your shadow detail, and I am not sure if it needs to be done so heavily.

Now if you like it..... not a problem. I don't see many huge structural issues here. Just a little softening Less is more.

It is hard, because everyone is getting so over the top with high contrast over sharpened images.... hopefully this is a fad that will pass with time. But you will here over and over again... not sharp enough.

Just ignore it.

I would use lightroom to bring out the skies on the beach a little more. Use the whites and highlighting sliders. Also, increase the clarity or adjust the temperature to create a sunset feel to the picture. Great pictures.

I like the first one the best. Others have mentioned the halos. You may want to clone out the piece of trash in the lower right and turn the blue thing in the middle dark brown or desaturate it until it doesn't draw attention.

The car would be a welcome sight on this thread. https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=436246

Less is more brah. After you are done editing a photo, go back and toggle your layers on/off to see if that layer is neccessary. Often times when editing, you want to add all these layers and different tones that take away from the photo, when all in all the least amount of editing looks the best.

Turned it on, have at it.

Thanks for the feedback. I am always interested in the harsher feed back, because it tells me what area I have to work on more.

I will keep working it and come often for critiques. :D

Surprising enough, it was mid day in Galveston, just overcast.

On #1, I'd get rid of that building on the right. I find it too big and distracting.
