Maybe we should get back on track, I will go with the majority who say the focal length will NOT change :)

Body: Canon 450D Gripped

EF-S lenses will only work on 1.6x crop bodies (maybe excluding the 10D?), where as EF lenses will work on any Canon dslr including 1.6x, 1.3x and full frame bodies.

Yes, that's correct. EF-S lenses will not go on a 10D.

It doesn't, but manufacturers will quote effective focal lengths making it seem like it has.

The answer to thew OP has already been given; yes they will fit.

I would like to clarify this a bit though for the OP:

Just keep in mind, with a 450d , the 100-400 will be a 160-640mm lens because of the crop sensor.
The 70-200 will be a 112 - 320 lens

As stated the focal length does not change, 100mm is 100mm on any body crop or full frame. What changes is field of view, so a 100mm on a crop body sees less of the field of view than the same 100mm on a full frame body.

Here's one from that set up taken a few years ago. It's a very versatile lens. Do not put any type of filter on it, it hates them, just use the lens hood as protection. I use a monopod to aid keeping it still.
Use it with shutter speeds at least 1/800 sec and you will get sharp shots. Don't let the shutter speeds drop off, 400mm requires fast a shutter on any long lens.
