Albert the Aussie Hobby was around today, and, as is often the case, he was using the prescience of another bird of prey to help flush out targets for him to hone in on.

Today he was skirting around this other chap, a white BoP, and I've looked through my Birds of Australia field guide but I just cannot decipher what this white bird is. The book states that Brwon Falcons have off white underparts but, as you can see, this was ashen white.

(sorry about the quality, it was pretty high so had to crop something crazy)

If anyone can help ID is bird your input would be much appreciated as I've not seen one of these before and I was pretty excited to see it appear (hope to see it again).

Many thanks in advance.

Interesting looking bird, could be a leucistic kestrel.
