Hello

I found this picture on the internet and I really like it.
I would like to do the same kind of picture but I don't know how to do to have a clear person and some moving people (not too blurry)

Does anyone know how to do ?
Thanks a lot

Would be pretty easy to fake in post but some of the shadows make me think they actually did it in camera. I'm thinking really long exposure, people come in quick enough that they don't really leave an image, then freeze in position for maybe half the total exposure, then leave, again not leaving any visible trace of their movement. Guy in the chair sits there for the entire exposure.

As said long exposure while one person sits still and others move around quickly , also if the picture is not yours post a link not the actual picture its against forum rules .

Can also be done with a technique called lightpainting. While the shutter is left open, you paint your subject with a light source. Have them moved and paint them again.

Many different wants to do an image like that. Based on the back ground colours I would say very long exposure with people moving and freezing in place for part of the shot.

You can get similar effects by using a manual flash, and a shorter exposure time. Set up for a "long" exposure with the prime subject sitting. Pop the flash at a low power, have ghosts come into the scene, pop the flash again at low power, ghosts leave.

You could also do it as an image composition, where you simply take multiple photos from the same location, and layer them together in software during post production. The largest difference in using this method is how clean of a shot it allows at the end. By layering the images you could expose for the ambient lights, making the background nice and clear, expose for the 'ghosts' getting them clean and sharp, then expose for your main subject and foreground.

Which ever method you are using, it is all about adding up photons. There is no 'wrong' way to do it if the final image looks the way you want it to.
