I'd like to know what you think of these two photos. I love critique.

I absolutely LOVE that second one..Oh My, just stunning. Excellent work on this one.

The first is also lovely, was thinking about a possible crop to the right side, eliminating the deck post? Really nice.

Both are really nice. Like the processing, especially on #2. Great little model you've got there!

Only thing I'd do is maybe revisit the crop on #1. Can't put my finger on it, but something doesn't look balanced in the composition on #1.

These are great...very story-book like for me.
You might want to crop the 2nd to get rid of the empty black space on the right side.

Good seeing you again Dave :D.

I agree with your assessment here. These are both beautifully done, and I believe the issue you have with the crop in #1 has to do with the pole. The crop would have been fine except that the pole is almost right in the center of the shot. Chop about another 10-15% off the left which will "move" the pole more to the left. I think that will make a really good shot even better ;). - Stu

Not a fan of the first shot.... sorry. Way too much going on and makes it look like a snap shot. A nice snap shot... but a snap shot none-the-less.

Totally a fan of the second shot. Nicely done. Leave it alone. You are done there..... nothing more to do.

Gorgeous shots; I like how her dress matches the background and the colour combination of green and red and personally for me the second shot would look better in colour.

Is it me or does the girl in shot 1 have less contrast than the background?

Number 1 is a great shot but I agree with illy. Love number 2 as is.

The second one is fabulous! I love it. Just beautiful!

The first one seems to have missed focus on the little girl and therefore my eye is drawn to the background.

I also thought about seeing the color version of #2.I bet it's stunning.

First off - that girl has a bad case of adorable.

Darn nice shots, I would crop the first shot as a portrait losing a bit of the left, and most of the right.

The second shot I would crop off the left side - remove the drain/white post, the bright white seriously draws the eye away from your subject.

Great shots, just my 2 cents worth.

Keep shooting and having fun!
-John
