Hi all,

I know you all are probably getting sick of seeing this crystal bear, but he is my most willing participant in these experiments, the porcupine was feeling ill today, and the cat was chasing his tail :)

Ok, what we have here are 2 different versions - they aren't VERY different, just a little bit, mostly just from the timing causing the lighting to be a tinsy bit different (one is a bit darker then the other. Please let me know which of the two you think is better.

Thanks you two, I appreciate the comments.

There was a third I did I was contemplating posting, but decided not to - what made it interesting was that it was a bit too long of an exposure, so the base got blown out a little, almost made it look like the bear was sitting in a ball of light or sitting on a halo.

love them both, would like to see the third, it sounds interesting. I wonder what it would be like on a blue light.

Fraid I like both- you should have moved the camera between shots and done a 3-D image :)

Hi Brian and Peitolm,

Thanks for the comments - I am not terribly familiar with doing 3D imagery, so I'm not really sure how I would move the camera - are we talking a move parallel to the bear, or a rotation of the camera or what?

Plus the only other problem is I don't know if I could get the flashlight in just the same position for the second exposure.

I also found another flaw I have to crop out - I didn't notice it on my monitor at home (guess I need to adjust its contrast or brightness), but I see more of the background then I expected. No big deal, just a little bit of cropping.

i rather like the fact there's a lot of background, i doubt i'd cut it horizontally and the aspect would go a bit wierd if you cut if vertically.
