I just got Really Right Stuff's 34L this morning. I'm nearly 6'4". I wont ever need to buy another tripod again, as long as this one doesn't fall off a cliff or something.

The Gitzo GT3541L (external link) (L is for Long) is great (not cheap though). I'm 6'1 and there's plenty of legs left to make it go above my head. It can also get incredibly small.

I'm 6'7" and I have the Gitzo GT3541LS. Perfect height for me (40D w/ grip).

If you don't want to jump straight in with a Gitzo or RRS (they're a tad on the pricey side), Feisol has a few options that would suit your height. Don't forget that when you're looking at tripods, you also need to factor in the height of the tripod head and the height from the base of the camera to the viewfinder, which adds quite a few inches.

Assuming you want the camera viewfinder to be at your eye level, you have to add up the height of the tripod legs, the tripod head, and the distance from the bottom of the camera to the viewfinder. This total height only has to reach your eyes - not the top of your head.

If you are 6 feet tall (72"), your eye level may only be at 67.5". Subtract 3.5" for the distance from the camera viewfinder to the bottom of the camera and you are at 64". Subtract another 4" for the tripod head and you now only need a set of legs that are 60" tall.
