For those that might have interest in using a Pentax K manual lens on an EOS APS-C crop body…
I recently purchased Pentax K to EOS mount adapter on E-Bay for $13. It is chrome plated brass and includes a chip for autofocus confirmation. I mounted two different Pentax K lenses (manual aperture/focus) on an EOS APS-C 1.6 crop body. These lenses were unmodified in original condition. I tried both aperture priority and manual mode on the camera body.
1. Infinity focus was achieved.
2. Autofocus confirmation beep worked fine on larger apertures.
3. No damage was observable on mirror or inside body.
4. Camera body appeared to be metering normally.
I only tested with a APS-C crop body. Damage to camera body might occur on an APS-H or FF body. I would be very careful with the larger sensor cameras.
