Full Moon (My 1st attempt)

Canon 60D.

Essentially 1st crack at night time photography using Manual mode. I was just shooting blindly, so to say, trying different settings etc. and these 2 kind of stood out. I kinda like the feel (spooky) but I'm sure they are things I could have done to improve. Would welcome comments/feedback. BTW---this was the full moon from just a couple days ago. Thank You.

When most people try to shoot the moon for the first time, they don't realize that it is just as bright as the earth is in the day. You need to lower your exposure quite a bit to avoid blowing out the detail on the surface of the moon. This would have kept the mood and added more in the scene to keep the view interested. :)

I like the idea a lot. It would be interesting to see what the scene would look like with a more detailed as described above.

Of the two, I prefer the second for a completely unknown reason. Keep on - it will be interesting to see where this evolves to.

Sunny 16 rule applies. The moon is in direct sun - reflecting it.

You'll get another chance at the end of the month on a blue moon.
