While coming back from our Red-headed Woodpecker excursion (Wayne, Ted, Stephen and I), we happened upon some Snow Buntings and Horned Larks. Missed out on the larks but this one of the Buntings made up for it!

Well done Dan, hard to capture those fast moving birds and yet have an excellent result.

Very nice Dan. They are pretty sharp and look good on that snow. I like the elongated shadows on the snow...adds speed to the shot.

Sideline: I was house bound yesterday but had some winter visitors ...about 30 Redpolls visited two feeders ( many were feeding on the snow). Didn't get any really good shots as they had no patience for my presence. But..they are in the area.......I put a third finch feeder up in hopes they will get comfortable.:) Very competetive with one another at the feeders.

Gary Fairhead C/C welcome .....

Nice shot Dan. I may leave my Bigma in the camera bag next time and stick with the 70-200 F2.8 & 1.4 teleconverter combo.
