This week I have recently noticed a thin black line about 1/3 of the way down from the top. It doesn't show up on photos, and today, if I turn the camera vertically to shoot, I get a wobble/blur when shooting.
Is this the end of my shutter?
Thanks. I did google, but didn't find exact info.

If it doesn't show up in photos, what is the problem? Also not quite sure what you mean by getting a wobble when you shoot. Can you post pictures? That would help explain.

Is this something you notice on the LCD while using live view?

When I hold it vertically, the image when I click the shutter moves, like a jiggle.I think it could be a problem unless I find out what it is;) It doesn't show in the photo, just something moves when I take the photo, but no show on the photo itself.

I so rarely use Live view, but just checked, and no, it doesn't show up?

Hmm, well if the only thing you are seeing is through the viewfinder but not in your photos, your shutter is fine! The shutter itself cannot be seen through the viewfinder. What you are looking at is the mirror, which moves up and down with every click. When the mirror moves, the image will briefly distort before the viewfinder blacks out during the photo.

If you're seeing a strange movement through the viewfinder without actually taking the photo, you might be seeing a jump in your lens's image stabilization. This is also normal.

If the mirror just sat in there it might possibly be a DIY fix if your confident enough to do so.

I am SO confident, lol.is there a tutorial? It's like it slid off the frame.

I searched and found lots of shutter fixes, but no mirror.

I saw the thread on the 5D.they sent it away, or talked about gorilla glue.egads.....I might have to bite the bullet and send it off. Probably time for a spruce up always.

No tutorial that I am aware of, a quick search turned up this though on gluing the mirror:

Seems like as long as it sits back in there pretty and you let it dry it shouldnt be an issue. You should be able to dig up a bit more on specifics but it seems pretty straightforward if your confident. Looks like they would possibly have to replace the whole assembly if you sent it in so its worth a venture.

Crazy glue eh? Gak..I will try it, all it can do is fall out again, right? Not tonight though..I need to sleep on it, lol. Thanks for your help!

Looking at it closely, there are no "divets, nor Indentations" in my plastic frame. How would I get it to be level....I need to find a doctor with steady hands..
