I have an older Bogen 3030 tripod head in great condition but missing the three pan/tilt handles. To get new Manfrotto handles, I may as well buy a new head, so is there any cheaper option?

http://www.bogentripodparts.com/parts/head3030.htm (external link) unfortunately shows that the handles are not available.

I can't seem to get the Manfrotto US web site to even find any tripods or heads on their parts drawings! http://www.manfrotto.us …pair/?f=s&v=3021&x=6&y=14 (external link)

Just found the 3030 (Manfrotto 141RC) drawing here http://www.manfrottospares.com …oduct/tripod&model_id=136 (external link)

The drawing shows R141,54 and R141,55 and R141,56 handles, but the handles were replaced by newer parts. There seems to be a package of three handles R804,99 Set Of Handles replaces R141,99

That company and a few others sell Manfrotto parts, but as mentioned for the price may as well by a new head. Just wondering if some cheap brand like Vivitar, etc. might sell handles that will fit.

$28 might sound like a bunch for three handles. The alternative would be to find the correct thread size generic handles at a machine supply company. After hours of trying to track down something that might work you'll find it will probably cost more than $28 for three of them. I'd just buy the handles or get a different head. Good luck, but there is likely no cheaper answer for you.

I also received a direct reply from Manfrotto, contact info below. All three handles are $23.60, which is the way I went.

Also found this company, J W Winco, mentioned on another site. They sell all kinds of knobs for electronics:

More specifically, see gear levers:
