I wanted to see if I could get a more stylized look for these groups shots.
They were shot in an ally off State Street.

They look better when they are viewed larger.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get the look I wanted in Lightroom 4.1

No.
It was just a barricade that was against the wall in the alley that a couple of the guys pulled out so we could get the bride to sit on it. Then lie down :-)

The far end of the alley is west, and this is later in the afternoon, thus the back light.
I had a 600EX-RT on the camera for front fill.
