Call me crazy, but I have a certain admiration for things in less than pristine condition. And it got me to thinking, I haven't seen much in terms of thrashed cameras or equipment around here.

I would enjoy seeing any 'love marks' or 'character flaws' your babies have as well as some potentially hazardous setups.. I already have a well earned scuffle on the right of my 7D's LCD screen.

If this has been done, sorry!

Haha I'll entertain this idea:
I didn't do this to my 50D, I actually let someone borrow my camera and he went and backed into a wall or something, and scratched the top LCD. (BTW, my 50D is still for sale! Just thought I'd slip that in :D)

Maybe relic'd cameras will become a fad! I'm pretty sure some of the PJ's will contribute with some deliciously road worn gear :D

As for me, the worst thing that my gear has seen is my currently peeling 60D grip that I'm too lazy to fix.

Well show a pic yo. LOL you could peel it all the way off and create a custom grip. Like carbon fiber or teak wood :-D

Some of my lenses and cameras have some signs of use - but I have no good images online.
Here my converted Minolta Rokkor 58/1.2 with modified hood:

I don't have any good photos of mine to show it off, it's not as well loved looking as the 1D2 already posted in here, but my 1D2 has its share of marks and scrapes from the almost 8 years I've owned it. The area around the shutter button on the vertical grip has the most scrapes I imagine although the Kirl L bracket that's lived on the camera for most of the time I've had it certainly I think has suffered the brunt of the abuse.

That is one hell of an advertisement for Sandisk cards.

I buy a lot of old used equipment. And lenses / cameras with some scratches on the housing are much cheaper - and still work fine. But that Minolta got most of its paint loss in my camera bags.

Here is the first mark in my 7D. I earned it trying to get a picture of a Bumble bee. So well worth it since I LOVE bees so much! :)

O dear.. Sweet Bee, you better send it back to Canon asap. You can't use your 7D with that big of a scratch at the back of it. :D

*sarcasm off*

I will snap some pics of my well used gear soon and post here.
