Took this shot triggered with PW at night from indoors.
1. How would you process it better.
2. How would you set up this for better lighting, camera angle, etc.
Here is a video link to the set up. Just a short Movie Maker vid.

your tripod looked like it was setup for big foot not a small raccoon lower your tripod as low as it will go ad a white piece of paper over the flash tape it on it will act like a soft box.... I have triggers so I can put the flash on a separate tripod...

So if God made Man & Woman....whats his excuse for Nikon...

Looks like the camera was pretty low to me. It seems that the flash is too close to the camera though. You might elevate it more and off to the right some more. To make this pic better I'd clone out most of the weeds over its body.

Thanks stan, Its kind of funny you said it was set up for big foot. The security camera that made the video is called bigfoot, just because its pointing into the woods, had to name it something.

Diffuse the flash, I'll try that. I can't get the flash off the camera because I don't have enough PW's.

Camera was low, it was down hill from the coons to the camera, just over knee high.
I think you guys are right about moving the flash. I'll work on that.

The weeds also bother me a bit. Need to work on my PS skills. Next time I'll use a weed eater. Wasn't planning on shooting raccoons but a coyote instead. He never showed.

I added some eyes, used mid tone mapping on the raccoon. I added backlighting on the background and sharpened the whole image.

It looks like the compression to get it on here makes the sharpening a little too much.

Lighting bad, good freeze though.

Tip:

NEVER USE ON CAMERA FLASH! Its unflattering, FLATTENING, and just ugly. Find yourself a yongnuo flash or a ETTL flash of sorts & get it off camera! will yield much better results

Just learned a little more about the PW's, enough that with 3 I can trigger the camera and off camera flash while keeping one for the remote. So clouds go away please.
