curiosity is lol... JPL just said we have a target on the rover that the camera uses to calibrate its color. In photography that means a grey card =)

Sounds like it has colors on it as well so as to help making color images more accurate and to help with identifying the geology as well. They said these images will be the most color accurate to date of the red planet. They incorporated it into a sundial that they can keep accurate color even in shadow. Doug
