I think it's underexposed. Or low-key, depending on your perspective.

The street looks familar like in one of the towns near the Delaware Water Gap. I would agree perhaps a bit under exposed...easily fixed though...

Two reasons and why I did it this way. Or why it was shot a little underexposed.

1 If exposed correctly all the leaves and branches with the sky behind them would be lost.

2 Exposing it correctly on that day would not give it such a dynamic look it would be kinda week.

Or so I thought. Thanks for the comments.

If you think you can lighten it up go right ahead let's see what "easily fixed" can be.

This was a quick and dirty edit, using nothing but Shadow/Highlight adjustments in PSCS2, using the expanded functions in the S?H menu, including tonal adjustements and midtone contrast:

I think it actually recovered some lost tree detail, rather than blowing it out.
A lot more could be done if I had a raw image to work with, as this was a low-res JPG to start with, and there isn't much there to adjust.

I am not suggesting this is "better" just less under-exposed looking.

I like the SWPhotoimaging version love the leafs, they stand out better.

One word of advice to a newbie member DO NOT PLACE YOUR OWN COPYRIGHT SIGN OVER SOMEONE ELSE ARTWORK!!!Please make your own work copyrighted...this is not meant to be mean remark, just follow the rules.
