How are the editing of the rest of the images going?

I should have some pictures to share from my trip. Still debating if i take the 7D or not. I like the ability of having the S95. Small point and shoot with RAW ability. Can throw it in my pocket easy with no issue on excursions. Hmmm or take the 7D with just a 24LII and no grip. Decisions decisions.

They're going, I got 3 done last ight after a bit of just slacking off. I have the rest of today to finish them up, and for the most part they're all done, I just gotta review them.

I am placing an order for a 12x18 print on metallic finish, is that the best option?

As for your trip, share them! And take the 7D gripless w/ 24L II!! I love the 85 for vacations, I know I'm weird

Nice. Post up your final best 8 :D

Hmm for your images i wouldnt go metallic. I love metallic say for landscape shots. For people shots a gloss print is nice. UNLESS you have an image of a person set with an amazing background.

We shall see what i decide. I really just want a nice light setup. Since i am bouncing around so much and not spending a lot of time in these places i cant really take my time to shoot. That is where the P&S comes into play.

EDIT: Actually i do remember seeing them while i was having breakfast this morning. The ability of the D800 to pull is remarkable. I dont think there is a camera on the market which can save you like that.

Ok, here's a final edit shot (if you don't like the colors... well that sucks ). Looks acceptable on either an uncalibrated monitor or calibrated monitor, which it only did on a calibrated monitor before so I had to go back and do some things..

That is exactly what i was thinking. The excursions are quick and i will deal with a lot of water so i cant trust leaving the 7D unattended with a 24LII attached to it. S95 for piece of mind with water casing. Mayra will have the gopro as well when she scubas :D

Will do! I think I have about 30 that will be up, but as for use in my portfolio, I think there may be 2 or 3 I will consider rotating.

Ah, ok, wasn't sure what type of finish to do with the image, I kinda think that it's pointless to have it shipped to me unless I order more than one, but I don't really want to at the same time, it's more of a test for me . I could always just order through Zenfolios 3rd party company, my clients have loved their prints they have received plus I don't really have to pay anything and the pictures are already up on my Zen.

A nice light set-up makes all the difference ;) I was so lucky that the guy I bought my Elinchroms was basiically giving everything away, I got a whole kit for less than what it would have cost me for the kit I would have gotten at Adorama.
