Apple only wants an injunction over a handful of phones and tablets. But not the latest ones that Samsung announced. Yes the fine was $1.05bn but everywhere else that the exact same case has been files about copyrights in other countries has been thrown out of court. Heck in Germany I believe both apple and samsung were banned from selling their phones/tablets for both of them breaching pathetic copyrights.

It just "happened" to be in the US that a US company wins over a foreign one and gets a $1bn fine. How come this didn't happen anywhere else?

Also Apple is one of Samsung's biggest customers. Samsung could just up the price of their semiconducting chips to make that money back. But I am sure the relationship is now strained.

I have always said that I like the iPhone bit it is only a matter I time until someone makes a bigger and better phone - apple are realising this and will use any tactics to stay ahead. It won't last long - phones and tablets are forecast to go psycho in sales in the next 3-4 years do every advantage counts and right now.

It won't be too long before you see apple's share price come down - purely because the competition on makin phones, tablets and laptops is too high. At least Microsoft have nailed the market with windows and office in every corner of the planet at a price that is affordable - that is why they have been consistently up there.

In order for apple to stay as valued as they are they really need to pull a cat out of the bag every year to keep ahead.

Try defeating a Chinese company in China ;)

So far.... Yeah ;)

Thinking of going for a D600 as its newer and I can use it in crop mode so my 50 turns into an 85 and it's still 12mp... Idk if I can't sell the D700 or get enough for the D600 I'll just keep the D700.
