Heat a needle over flame and punch two small holes into that cap>thread a 12" length fo fishing line through the holes and through a rubber band>attatch the rubber band to your lens and voila...the cap is always handy.

MotorOn Senior Member 941 posts Likes: 52 Joined Feb 2007 More info | Aug 11, 2012 00:05 | #19 I use UV filters, typically have the hood on, no hood for the kit lens, rear cap always, haven't messed with a front lens cap on a lens for more than 5 years and I don't really intend to. With a little proper care and regular cleaning (done by me no need to send it off), I'm yet to have any issues. And surprisingly enough, still no need to replace the UV insurance filter, even though I do like the piece of mind. Website
