OK, Brian, you are raising these flies somewhere just to have subjects to photograph. Great captures BTW.

You just need to find a sunlight bush- bet there will be flies on it.

Well much to my suprise the flies are still about- just on one sunlight busg in my front garden- there were three fly species and two hoverfly species this morning (as well as wolf spiders in the leaf litter).

I look at your photos and I ask myself this: How is it possible that someone can take such a stunningly sharp photo of a fly! I mean, come on, flys don't look that good, or do they? I don't think I'll ever swat one again as I would feel terrible to destroy such an intrically designed creature like that! Wow!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
