I thought I'd go see what was happening on a Wednesday night, & also check out a location with the lights from a McDonalds in the background. The Shell had only about 10 cars, but there were a few guys out in traffic.

I also wanted to fine tune my shutter speed from the previous 1/15 sec. & all shots were at 1/20 second.

These are in the order that I shot them. I generally like them better as the light fades, but there are nice differences when they move out of the the shade & into a patch of sunlight.

7. It's especially interesting to see the difference panning speed made in these next two shots.

Last one is the best, I like a bit of slow shutter, but not all, get's repetetive, but great job nonetheless.

I'm always a little surprised by the final result.

Thanks for the comments!

Nice series... Frank!
I'm going over to Woodward this afternoon for a couple hours to see what is driving by, provided the weather holds.

That one, #1, surprised me. My panning usually sucks on the first few cars until I get into a rhythm, but the feeling in it is really nice.

Shooting with wet pavement should give you some nice reflections, but most of these guys don't want to get water spots in their undercarriage? I'd be surprised if you see more than 1-2 Classics out there, but good luck!

Thanks for the comments!
