Ok, I've looked and have not found anything on this so I'll ask.

Thus far, I have used WHCC for printing. I found that if you are going to apply your watermark/signature, etc., you need to leave at least one each from the edge(s) as to allow them room to crop, straighten, whatever to the picture prior to printing. They said this needs to be done in order for the watermark to show up properly once framed and not be cut off when they are working on the photo. This being said, Using PS6 AND Lightroom 4, how do I know where to put the watermark to follow their guidelines? I know that one of them as a "margin" to adjust the watermark so is .5 equal 1/2 inch, 1.0 equal 1 inch? I've not found where this is addressed.

Any input please?

Thx, John

It sounds like you're not cropping to the specific print shape before you send the files to the lab?

I'm cropping then where they need to be to meet their requirements. What they are saying is the watermark needs to be an inch from the bottom and an inch from the right side (if you are putting it in the bottom right hand corner. When I apply the watermark to the photo, how do I know that I'm an inch from the bottom and an inch from the right side when I'm moving it around? I don't want it too far in but I definately don't want it cut off either.

Try this with Photoshop -- press Control-Shift-R to show the rulers. Click your mouse on the left ruler, hold down the button, and drag to the desired one inch point and release to create a guide line. Repeat from the top ruler.

Rimmer, I actually was wondering if that would work. I guess the ruler adjust accordingly depending on if the image is 100%, 33% or even 200%. Thanks, I'll try that. I can't remember but does LR have this same ruler?
