I had a chance to visit the osprey family, the 3 young ospreys are now starting to fly although they always stay very close to their nest. They only fly when the mom or dad is either in the nest of very close watching by.

#1 We immediately got a "fly by" from the parents.

Great shots, all, Jo. I too like the 4th image. It reminds me of...."Look, up in the sky....it's a bird, it's a plane....."

Must be a good fishing area to have three youngsters. Excellent series.

Thanks Duane, ospreys are good indicators of the waterways, if they are thriving, that means the rivers are very healthy :)

Thanks Phil, This is actually a shot of the kids when the mom immediately flew and was screaming loudly, I then saw another osprey (intruder) and the mom chased the intruder away. Unfortunately I did not get a good picture of the 2 adult ospreys.

Beautiful captures. Those "kids" must be ready to leave soon? They look really big.
