Hiding behind the cameras!

One poster expressed an interest in my part of the world so I was giving them some food for thought. A bit off topic I know but I don't know how to send images in a PM!

Anyway look at the last image - SUN in South Wales! It is such a rare occurrence that I couldn't find a photographer nearby!;-)a

If you want a complete numpty with a camera have a look at my avatar!

More than one...and cheers for the info.

I gotta say, I'm thinking there's been some photoshop slung around some of those images of Wales...I lived thee 10 years, and only saw it once or twice...:-P

My local was Denbigh castle...Born in St Asaph...

Welcome as well! Good looking rig you guys got there. Death Valley is one of my favorite places in the world. I lived in Northern California for 2 years and during that time, I spent a total of 34 days in Death Valley sleeping in the back of my Tacoma. Such an awesome place!

When you say hunting planes, are you referring to photographing planes that are performing unexpected maneuvers in Death Valley?

Cheers,
Bryan

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Bryan, to answer you, yes. It's no top secret I hope.... but since you've been there, you probably saw all the jets in flight. I had to do some research but they're usually out there flying a pair of F-15C jets.. I was pretty far off when we set up camp, so the snapshot of the us on the jeep was right outside camp. Next time, I'm going to venture out and hike to some better vantage points. DV holds a special place in my heart now. I thought it was a desert wasteland and I was completely wrong. It's an amazing place to spend 34 days! I only need 30 days more in DV to catch up to you hah.

I've seen lots of planes out there and the occasional sonic boom when they break the sound barrier. Good stuff! I'm with you...Death Valley (and the surrounding area) is truly incredible. Far more diverse than what most people realize and actually, full of life in many ways.

I'm in New England now for a couple of years, but I can't wait until we move back west as I look forward to many more days and night there. The good news for all of us, its not going away anytime soon. :-)

Chers,
Bryan
