Lubos-PM Goldmember More info Post edited over 4 years ago by Lubos-PM. (2 edits in all) | In the 1980s, Jawa produced 100,000 motorcycles a year, a few years later it was only a tenth. Jawa is still alive, but he only remembers the successful years. Jawa was one of the Czech “family silver.” The brand based in Týnec nad Sázavou was at that time one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the world, which was also very successful in the racing field. After 1989, however, came a steep downturn and from a giant company today is a small manufacturer, which currently only remembers the past glorious years.
