They're probably not in the code of conduct or whatever it's called, for photographers.
But if you're into other occupations, no knee pads no fronting on site.

I imagine the general public don't care what you wear just how good your photography is, plus personal traits.

If you're into work place standards, such things are forever on your mind.

Personal Protective Equipment.

Examples: Ear Plugs when using a loud chain saw, knee pads when you have to kneel on concrete. safety goggles when using a grinder.

Or face masks so as to not spread COVID.
