I have visited Fort Macon three times, stayed a week each time at the Oceanana. Enjoyed walking around in the Fort seeing the history and the view out to sea. It's so much different than the corn fields and cow pastures where I live, which is far from the Ocean in any direction. I have fond memories of the seafood in the area and am somewhat envious at times of folks that live there, except of course when you all are enjoying a Hurricane,:-)
