Lens Cleaning Question

I have a Canon 70-200mm f/4 L that has some minor dust on the inside,Does Not effect IQ.

Question is does anyone know what Canon would charge me to have it cleaned?

Need a answer asap for a Ebay flap.

All lenses get dust. Does not effect IQ. Leave it alone.

Did you buy a lens and it has dust, or did you sell the lens, and the buyer is squawking?


If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?
Digital - 50D, 20D IR Conv, 9 Lenses from 8mm to 300mm
Analog - Mamiya RB67 Pro-SD, Canon A-1, Nikon F4S, YashicaMat 124G, Rollei 35S, QL17 GIII, Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex 1st Version, and and entire room full of lenses and other stuff

This is copied straight off of Adorama's site, B+H has similar, as well as KEH, as well as myself for the lenses I sell on ebay:

*Used Lens Glass Disclaimer - Lenses, even when brand new from the factory, may have a slight amount of dust visible between the lens elements. This is an unavoidable result of the manufacturing process and will not affect image quality or resolution.

If it doesn't affect IQ, seriously, don't stress about it.

Just leave it. Not worth messing with it on your own. A waste of money getting someone to look at it. If the lens ever goes in for service then get it cleaned as well.

Yea its just a minor annoyance dust in lenses is,In this case its the principal of the whole thing.

Anyway problem has been solved so thanks to all..

Dust is non issue. I have factory installed dust in my 70-200.
