Personally I prefer my camera to be less distinct by covering anything up that might make people register it quicker that its a camera.

If that's the real reason you might do something about it still looking like a big black camera, maybe stick the body inside a cereal box and cut a hole for the lens to poke out. You'll also want to tape up the red ring.

The subject of tape on cameras has been done to the death, lets let him go about his day and carry on the thread :)

That's like Driving a Black Car at Night thinking the cops won't see us, Completely forgetting about the Front and Rear Lights lol. Well what about the Famous RED Ring from the Lens. I'm sorry but a Camera is a Camera and unless it's hidden in a Backpack or something, It's clear as day no matter how much Tape you put on it. Be proud of your Camera and show it off.

I could careless if I was rocking a Canon or Nikon or any other brand as it has nothing to do with endorsing/sponsoring. And there is no doubt about making a big black camera something else but I feel by at least covering up the brand, it will eliminate the discussion about what type of camera or brand it is.

I'll point out I've had the cops called on me and had FAR more problems with my white lenses than with any black lens, Including the monster 50-500 OS... Also birds were fine with me getting nice and close with the 50-500 OS, Not so much with my 100-400 or my 70-200 f/4L IS...

So yeah, I much prefer my lenses to be black, Not white...

It worked! At first I thought you posted a picture of a cup of tea. In fact, my initial reaction was to say "dude...this is "show us your camera" not "show us your cup of tea"...certainly doesn't look like a camera now, good job!!! Maybe you should put gaffer tape over the badges of your car and make people think it's an office chair!! No one will ever figure it out!

I myself think that the gaffer tape draws even MORE attention to the camera. It really makes it stand out because you don't usually see a bunch of gaffer tape on a camera.

But maybe that's just me.
