Who cares what it looks like. You don't buy a camera like this for it's aesthetics. You buy it for it's utility. At least I did.

The battery is new and has about 10% more power yeah. The old batteries are still compatible but they drop the maximum fps down to 12. Not a bad compromise really. In real world use the batteries last a long, long time. Well over the rated amount of shots you are supposed to be able to get with each charge.
