camera — 5D mark III — this is probably a silly question, but is there a way to manually switch the card slot you want to use? sometimes, depending on the order in which i load the cards, the card in the 2nd slot will write info first.

i only want to use SD slot if the compact flash card is full. but i can't seem to find a "button" that allows me to choose which disk i want to use.

also, if i work on my digital files in photo mechanic, edit or trash some images, and then put the card back in the camera i get the error 70 message - which requires me to take the battery and out and reinsert. last time i this problem the battery trick didn't work. it was a good thing i was home and could remove all the images off the card manually and then empty the trash on my laptop. then i could format my card.

i am using a new lexar udma 32 mg card.

i haven't found a good explanation for this phenomena or any fix other than the battery one.

thoughts?

thanks, lara

"sorry i think i put this in the wrong forum."

i really don't want to have to "recover" from the error, i just want it to not to happen at all. so this is something i have to send the 5D in for? i just bought it about 6 weeks ago, so it is still on warranty. this is a camera problem?

sigh...

thanks for the info!
