just bagged another bargain

2 weeks ago on holiday in tenerife i picked up a sigma 105 2.8 for £110 (non dg) and today i picked up a sigma 24-70 f2.8 (non dg) for £180
was well pleased, the dg version costs £280.
this lens had been bought and returned. nothing wrong with it and still got the uk 3 year warranty.
so ive got over £500 of glass for £280.
just goes to show that there are bargains to be had if you shop around and buy the non dg .
why is the 24-70 so bloody big. and heavy. my 28-300 looks small in comparison

All guys know that one! LOL

Seriously though, i guess they make no compromises with the 24-70,seeing as though it's their pro model lens.
The 28-300 is deliberately designed to be as small as they can possibly make it,even to the point of compromising it's other features
