I was taking consecutive 30 second exposures of the milky way facing south. I wasn't going for meteor shots at the time, but I just discovered this gem. The bright streak doesn't appear in either adjacent frames, just this one. Any time a plane would fly through it would be visible for a few frames. Is that bright streak a meteor?

P.S. I haven't edited these yet, just looking.

Looks like you captured something else fainting moving below the meteor. Well done.

Appears to be. That was the shot I was going to be looking for myself ... meteor streaking through the Milky Way. Nice job!

That's an excellent shot. Most meteors are tiny bits of dust but yours is big enough (maybe a few mm) to have heated up and then broken apart, then the parts leave their own trail. That's a classic meteor shot with a foreground and the milky way thrown in. Well done.
