This is where I am coming from. 1st camera in 1991 was a EOS 10s with a 35-135 lens. 2nd camera just last year Nikon F3HP/MD-4 with 2.8/28mm and 2.8/24mm.

Now I have this craving for a EOS 1V HS and the 16-35mm F2.8 USM "L." and nothing else.

Can anyone tell me in this wonderful forum if you have the above configuration and what you like about it. How are the results when you get your film back?

I like to street shoot in tight spaces and love wide angle. I know I could just get the lens but a new camera would be nice. From reading many many reviews the EOS 1VHS is a beast and what is not too like about it.

Thank you

I have the EOS 3 camera and the 16-35 you are asking about. I've had the opportunity to use the 1V HS and it is a great camera for sure. The results that I have had with the 3 and the 16-35 have been very good.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

I'm using the 16-3L on the 5D and I'm very pleased with the image quality.

So I can assume that this lens is tact sharp even on the edges of the photos.
