I'm sure this happens to everyone, but experiences in the past with other products and forums for me have not been like this.

A few days back, after realizing I would be getting a decent bonus, I started looking at getting myself a 24-105 lens and a 430EXii speedlight. In the last few days I found myself a seller on FM for the speedlight. (he actually had 3 to sell and in his own words, he "wanted to get them out of here") I've found it frustrating that communication takes place once every day or two and that even after my payment yesterday I still have not gotten confirmation that he got my Paypal. I'm not sure if he's negotiating with someone else for the whole lot and he'll just say here is your money back or what. I guess more for peace of mind...

The lens I found here from a seller with the same difficulty. PMs are responded to every few days and yesterday I responded to a PM he sent within minutes. Still waiting on a response. I haven't yet paid for the lens but I want to. One would think that getting $800 for something they claim to not use so much would warrant a quick reply. In fact, I would think that if you put in your thread that you want something gone that you would be attentive to offers, PMs, and payments.

Thanks for reading. As I said I have not experienced this as of yet from other sellers anywhere, despite hundreds of transactions, so it i not normal for me.

those are not uncommon items to find for sale, if you're not getting the timely responses you want move on to another seller. normally i'd suggest finding some way to increase your tolerance for responses, but i don't see that happening.
