Ah! Yes, I find it confusing that videographers always quote the vertical resolution. I suppose it comes from the days when TV images were defined by the number of lines.
Sorry guys in the UK we AV Philes always refer to 1080/24/50 or 60 meaning P for progressive; otherwise we state 720i.
Comes from the days when our dear government allow the AV industry to con all the poorly informed, that 720 was HD. So they could flog off all their sub-standard cheapo TV's.
The should have called it 'semi HD'
Hence I see the confusion and understand.
