1d iv or 5d3 what should i get?

trying to decide which to get would love to get your guys input so please chime in and letme know what ya think. I shoot alot of wildlife and macro, also good amount of landscape as well. like the idea of the size of the 5d but like to speed of the 1d4. thanks in advance.

I have both and would be fine without the 1d mkIV if I shot the things you listed. You'll lose the the 1.3 field of view for your wildlife, but if you are O.K. with that then I say just get the 5d mkIII.

I like the fact the 1dm4 can still focus at f/8, which helps me when using the canon extenders for that extra reach, can't afford the the big white lenses

If you shoot high ISO above 12800 then you would need the 5dm3

The 1D4 takes a bit of work at 25600, but it can be done, at least to an 8x10. I will have to try out a 5D3 though in the future to do another head to head comparo.

What body are you coming from, as I already had a 5D Mark II and the 7D, the 1D Mark IV was the logical replacement for the 7D.

What conditions do you shoot in? Being from the pacific NW, I assume rain. If so, I would go for the 1dm4 for the build/weather proof quality.
