I’ve read all the reviews, seen a bunch of clips on the youtube machine and listened to everything I can, but I just don’t get the hype around this guy.

To me, these (rather lame) photographs showcase exactly what this Skrillex set was all about – one dude on stage spinning party tunes, some fire, confetti and a whole bunch of punters pingin their heads off.

Full set over at my site:

I took it to mean that band photographers don't know how to shoot a rave.

that's exactly how I took it too, but i don't understand his point.

there is no difference shooting any style of music when you are confined to 3 from the pit.

Am I the only one here that thinks Skrillex looks exactly like Corey Feldman?

Cool shots BTW. What I think Ace meant is that a lot of shows like this are shot from the stage & behind the desk. At least that's how I interpreted it. :/

Thanks :)

That's not how I took his statement, and unless you have AAA it's gonna be pretty difficult to get a shot that makes this guy look any different to anyone else's shots.

I like #2 :)

Shooting DJ's from a pit is hell. I prefer to be close to them, using a wide angle. That's about the only way to get any sense of action ;)
