I was just going thru some of my photos, and messing with the different effects in Photoshop..I stumbled across one I took while I was in New York last weekend, and found a nice effect to add to it..
First pic - Origional
Second pic - Photoshopped

Tell me what you think, looks like a blast from the past..!

I don't know why you are not getting any comments. They look like postcards to me. I like them.

Looks more like Central Park in the mid 30's....

Nice photo. I think I prefer the original. There is an interesting bit of lens flare in the lower left that draws my eye but the overall picture is quite nice.

What did you do to it in PS?

I actually used Photofiltre (sorry, I thought it was Photoshop), It has an option in there name "Old Photography"...Thats all I did, like I said just messing around..

As for the lens flare...I was inside a building, shooting thru the window...There were christmas lights in there and I was hoping it wouldn't reflect on the window, I didn't notice it till I downloaded the pics onto the computer..

What a charming shot. I love the original. I think it has a lovely retro feel to it, romantic and melancholy. Well done.

I really like what you did here. The "older" version is very nice.
