i dropped my g3 pretty hard. still functions, but the lower right hand corner of the camera, where it says G3, has small dent. i's just enough that it hinders the the flap on the side from closing correctly.

does anyone know if can get a replacement piece. It looks like that front piece can unscrew? thoughts?

All parts are available to repair men, I woulg go the safe route and have one fix it. You never know what small parts and springs are supported by covers,
then you would have a real repair on your hands.

A camera with a ding in it loses most of it's resale value.

Here is a link to the G3 parts list:

I suspect you will have to go directly to Canon for the parts.

Good luck,

Dennis
