I have a customer who is looking to puchase photographs for autograph sheets and business cards. He wants to get usage rights on 5 photographs. Does $100-150 Per picture seem right?or am I way out of line. The online calculators all said way more than that. As this is the first time being asked for this type of thing I'm kind of at a loss. Plus its for a guy I've knon for a long time.

FYI - the autotgraph sheets are typically called hero cards.

Is this for an athlete or celebrity? How many hero cards does he plan to print / use in the next year? How big will each image be? Typically, there will be 1 or 2 major images with 2 or 3 minor images. I would give a flat fee for all 5 images, not a 'per image' charge.

Sorry never heard then called hero card. They will be printed on cheap glossy paper. They are autograph sheet for rodeo act. There will be one main 8x10 shot with 4 smaller ones. Not sure one the run amout yet. I'm guessing 1000 - 2000 start.

I've done a lot of work with "hero cards" for motorsports. You pretty much just need 1 setup for the entire year. I'd say your price of around 500 for 4 to 5 shots sounds about right.
