Check the speed. Bet its 4200RPM. I'd also be concerned about the "extended" warranty in that you have to pay to get at least 12 months. That means it's probably 30-90 days. HD's fail. They are built to fail (just like light bulbs). Less than 3 yrs is a risky buy.

Funny, they give no info on the drive at all - other than 320GB.

What? Did you click on the link? Everything and all specs on the drive is listed for view. The RPM is 7200. Are you reading the same as everyone else? 1 yr warranty on external drives are industry standard.

Try clicking the link and reading the specs. I just bought one as this is a great deal and you can never have too much disk space.

These also have 8 MB buffer, which is really more important than rotational speed anyway.

Hmm... I did but didn't get the results the last couple of posters got. Does look like a pretty good deal. Definitely 1/3 cheaper than comparable models (WD, Iomega, etc).
