Well, they updated the 70-200, and the product was super-sharp. They updated the 24-70, and it was super-sharp. Now it's time for the 16-35. Or, better yet, a 14-35 or 14-24 with a flat front element, that can take a Lee filter holder... After all, the TS-E 24L has the same angle of view as a 14mm lens (just spread over a larger image circle) and it has a flat front element.

the 100-400 has 'only' gone up 7.6% a year - lot more than inflation!

After taking into account currency fluctuations against the yen, it's gone down in price in the US.

Not in Australia, though - the currency's gone from below USD0.50 to USD1.05, and lens prices certainly haven't halved!
