Hey fellow phoographers,

I was wondering if any of you would like to review some of my photos of my most recent photoshoot :)

Cheers

#1 depth of field problem....like the concept...not the execution
#2 same problem as #1 and cropped too tight

So if God made Man & Woman....whats his excuse for Nikon...

#1 Not sure what the story is here. Apple should be sharper and maybe better saturated.
#2 The left arm looks disembodied. Have her kick her elbow out. The partial right hand at the bottom is no help. Too much nose and not enough face. Have her look up or straight out - not down.

#1 i love the concept however nothing is in focus (not fully) what is the main focus? the hands or the apple?

#2 i agree with Qbx pretty much having her look up at the camera would give it a whole new dimension.
the picture again also looks very soft to me the part that looks most in focus to me is the hair to the left just above the shoulders.

saying that im not sure if thats just the web compressions doing.

generally a rule of thumb: never have stray limbs creeping into the picture (the hand at the bottom is a prime example).

1. I can't personally stand selective coloring, it adds nothing and distracts imo. it's what people do with their iphones if the photo they took isn't interesting. try harder to make the photo interesting instead of relying on a photoshop technique. Also, your focus is off, you need to stop down to get more in focus, selective color is no substitution for that. plus that shot is very overdone in my opinion, try something new

2. another one of my all time pet peeves, text on the photo. If you can't portray the message or idea you want in one photo, perhaps you should try a photo series that tells a story.

care to share your exif?

#1 the shot screams twilight cover and spot colouring has been beaten to death and rarely adds anything to a photo (in fact because of it's over use it tends to subtract). Focus is off and there's a tonne of distortion, and I think the contrast in the apple needs to be bumped.

#2 I like your idea here, but it's not executed well. Look for some better, softer lighting, don't shoot so wide, and get rid of the text.

You've got an idea here, and don't let it die. Keep taking stabs at it until you get it, we're here to be honest and give you a place to grow, so keep on working at it!

Welcome to the forum:] Cant add much, but pictures show better if you space them.

When we think snow white we think "white dress" Your shot reminds me more of little red riding hood.
If you must add the watermarks keep them smaller, I find them a major distraction. Keep shooting, keep posting.

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "obsession"
