You've got some serious distortion going on in # 1 and # 2 needs some fill. These just don't work for me, sorry.

That's probably because I had to try and shrink it because it was a huge file and while doing so its done that.

I'll try again

Brie, welcome to POTN. Saea is refering to the distortion of the girls features, not the distortion of the image itself. This comes from using a short focal length and being very close to your subject. Its possible to use this creatively to provide a unique perspective in an image.

The second image has your subject underexposed. In an image like this where the subject is naturally lit from behind, you can use the pop up flash to bring them back to proper exposure.

Keep practicing. Keep shooting. Try to avoid shooting people so close with a wide angle lens.

I think that your close up is a good idea, but looks slightly OOF. The second one is a miss for me, sorry. I would say with a tighter crop and better light, it might be a good shot!
