I heard what sounded like a "waxwing convention" in my yard earlier today...turns out that it kind of was. A family of waxwings had landed in the trees outside and between the young begging and the parents (probably) complaining, it made quite the ruckus (if you can imagine a waxwing ruckus...)
Hoped for a feeding shot but they didn't stick around long enough.

Thanks Joe, we've been seeing a lot of these fellows locally this year.

Beautiful photos and sharp as a tack. I see the Waxwings come through our area (N.W. Georgia) very early in the spring. They don't hang around long, guess they are on their way to mating grounds for the summer.

Very good shots, Mike. A waxwing ruckus? I've never heard them make a peep, ever, they are always so quiet and well-behaved - the perfect bird neighbour, I think :)
