FIRST ATTEMPT AT PP

Comments appreciated for first time of trying pp. Am I on the right path as a starter? Really enjoyed working on this and could really get hooked on pp.

Those are some small images, but looks interesting enough. With creative PP (and not touchup/cleanup type PP) it's very subjective. So try not to be discouraged by a lack of response. Sounds like you're on the right path if you enjoyed it and like the result.

Looks nice, I like the vintage PP style you put on it.

Reup them--you can go up to a thousand pixels I believe. I can see that you did some heavy textural and artistic work on it, but can't give any feedback based on the small size.

It's pretty simple to post a good-size image.

It's easiest if you have a "host", there are free Web hosting sites out there (Flickr is a popular one).

From your computer, use your image editor to resize the image to dimensions that fit POTN limits of 1024 pixels at the widest, then save as a jpeg with a Quality setting that limits the file size to within the POTN limit of 150KB. Then you can upload it using the Attach tool in the toolbar of the Advanced reply window.

Thank you. I've admired, read and learned so much from these threads over the years and I'm hooked!

This style isn't really my thing, but I must say you did a phenomenal job with it (especially for a first time). I love the "old book" aging effect, and how the buildings get progressively lighter as you look up the street. Only one suggestion I would make is to get rid of that single bike wheel in the bottom left--to my eyes it's too big and in a spot where it distracts my eyes and pulls them over to it. Other than that, bravo!

If it were me I would take it one step further and desaturate a tad more (especially the street lamps). It would give the photo a more washed out/aged look.
