Rokinon(samyang) 85mm 1.4 is AWESOME! Great build and lens quality. Really makes you think about what your shooting since you have to work for each shot. Frustrating at first but quite rewarding. There is one going for $200 in the market here I just saw.

I use the 85 for close up portrait and the 50 for full body. Hopes this helps :D

Another vote for the 85mm 1.8. It's awesome one both crop and fullframe. I would not dare to buy a manual focus lens for this use on a crop camera as focusing is a @$%&*, you basically have to use liveview.

A wide angle manual lens on the other hand is very tempting.

I'll add to the recommendation of the EF 85/1.8 used.
If you can't afford it now, be patient, save up and keep an eye out for it on the used section of the forum.
My feeling is that if you get a (relatively long) MF lens with a large aperture, it will be quite a struggle to get good shots and you'll end up using it less.

I agree wait for a Canon EF 85/1.8,save up for it.
I think the reason that you don't see to many used for sale is that there that good.
To get a another Canon lens that sharp you would have to jump to a $1000 plus lens.

Here's an outside-the-box suggestion, get an old Nikon 135mm f/2.8 AE lens off ebay. They sell for right around $100 in great condition. You can get an adapter for your 60d for about $15.00 with a focus confirmation chip. It's an awesome lens for the price. You might also want to look at an old Pentax Super Multi-Coated Takumar 135mm f/3.5 lens. They go for as little as $20.00 on ebay. Also a very nice lens that can be adapted to your EOS camera.
